Well, the Follisfam has been here in Midland a little over 2 weeks. That's hard to believe! We are living with friends that we served with at our church in Houston and who have been here now for over a year. They have helped make our transition that much smoother, and we are grateful.
Cowgirl is doing very well at WTAMU! She's loving her classes and her new friends and surroundings. She fell and sprained her ankle last week, so was down for the count for the equestrian team, and was not a happy camper. She's doing much better this week. Apparently she is now a two-steppin' fool! Daddy K and I are very proud of her and how well she's adjusted (so far) to college life!!
Dramafreak and Scoutmaster started co-op classes 3 weeks ago. The first week they had to go in, sight unseen, after driving in from taking Cowgirl to college. It was a touchy time! The co-op is sufficient to meet our needs, but Wendyloohoo is grieving a bit over PREP classes in Houston and how great they were. It's been a definite adjustment, but not in a bad way. DF also started guitar lessons this past week and really liked the instructor. He was asked to play with the youth praise band on Sundays which is a HUGE answer to prayer. Scoutmaster starts Piano lessons and Boy Scout troops this week, so he's nervous and excited! SM has made a few friends in Awanas and Kids choir already, and we are thankful.
Daddy K and I started with our Young Marrieds class this past Sunday. It went very well. We had 26 people in there. Started off with an ice breaker game and "getting-to-know-you" stuff. We have a great group of young folks and are looking forward to a fab time of ministry together.
Heard from our dear friends who are watching over our house. They went to feed our milk snake and he's MIA!!! Scoutmaster is very concerned, as it is his pet. His BFF Joshman is also quite upset over the deal. The whole family scoured our Houston home without a sighting of Milky. Pray he's found before he dries up. Not everyone in Joshman's family even likes looking at snakes, so we are thankful they are on the hunt anyway!!
Keep our family in your prayers and we always are keeping you in ours. We love our peeps!!!!!!
Wendyloohoo
